From Dream to Reality: Building Beautiful Pools with Expertise and Passion
Welcome to Pools by Design, where quality and customer satisfaction are our top priorities. Our President, Ken Larison, brings decades of experience in the swimming pool industry to our company. Ken’s journey began while he was pursuing a degree in landscape architecture at the University of Arizona, working for a pool company to gain hands-on experience. His passion for urban planning and design during grad school didn’t deter him from the pool industry. Instead, it further fueled his desire to create innovative and beautiful pool designs.
After college, Ken continued to work in the pool industry, eventually starting his own company. His goal was clear: to build high-quality pools that make customers happy. Initially a proponent of shotcrete pool construction, Ken recognized the process’s expense, labor intensity, and time consumption. This led him to discover fiberglass pools, particularly those from Leisure Pools, known for their high quality, efficient installation and stunning interior finishes.
Our team is a family affair, with Ken working alongside his wife Maryanne, our lead designer, and his two sons, Erik and Nickolas Koustik. Mark Ragel, our COO, and Dalton Mason, our Fiberglass Division Manager. Together, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional pool designs and making our customers smile.
